I work across several professional domains including Child and Family Services, the not for profit sector, local government, in the community and in the art sector. My work centres around community building which encompasses program design, implementation and evaluation; workshop design and delivery; stakeholder engagement and consultation. I specialise in youth participation and engagement and have worked with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and LGBTIQA+ communities.
I design, deliver and evaluate therapeutic group programs built on emotional health and wellbeing principles. Programs utilise psychoeducation to build self awareness, learn the science behind stress and emotions and evidence based techniques to strengthen wellbeing. I use art making and creative modalities to deepen understandings and build connection. Programs can be tailored to suit different groups and goals. I also deliver the Tuning in to Kids program and Youth Mental Health First Aid.
I work collaboratively with individuals to identify how best I can offer support. Together we will work to build emotional health and wellbeing working within a strengths-based framework, building emotional intelligence and holistic wellbeing. Creative activities feature in the sessions to embed learnings. One on one parenting support utilises principles of emotion coaching parenting. I am able to provide Therapeutic Supports and Innovative Community Participation.
Since graduating from Social Work, I have spent over 20 years working in a diverse range of community settings. When I look back, it is forming connections and trusted relationships with people that has been a consistent source of joy over my career. I enjoy connecting with people from all backgrounds, experiences and ages.
In my recent work as a Community Arts Facilitator, I have created opportunities with community and government funding bodies, to deliver programs which I design, implement and evaluate. Creative practices feature in all the work I do to embed learning and to embrace playfulness.
I have successfully facilitated groups in many settings including people experiencing homelessness, with young people, international students and policy driven consultations. I find facilitating group work to be highly rewarding and have recently been delivering Self Care and Wellbeing workshops for organisations and community groups. I have spent several years working with parents delivering the Tuning in to Kids program to build emotion coaching parenting skills and have recently qualified as a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor. I enjoy bringing people together and creating opportunities for meaningful connection and learning.
A majority of my community building experience has been in the Youth and Early Years sectors in a variety of roles that have encompassed policy development, project management, civic participation and partnership facilitation. My strength is to listen to communities and empower them to make positive change.

I acknowledge the Boonwurung people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to Elders past and present. I acknowledge that Sovereignty has never been ceded. The land that I live on, work on, walk on every day always has been and always will be Aboriginal Land.
